Software overview

COSMOS

Cosmos is a "Operating System Kit," or as I like to say, "Operating System Legos," rather than an operating system in the conventional sense. Similar to how Visual Studio and C# often allow you to construct programmes, Cosmos also enables you to create operating systems. With the aid of Visual Studio, the majority of people can create and boot their own operating system in just a few minutes. Since milestone 5, Cosmos has an integrated debugger and project type in Visual Studio. Using breakpoints, you may directly debug your operating system from Visual Studio.

An operating system development kit called Cosmos (C# Open Source Managed Operating System) uses Visual Studio as its development environment. Despite the moniker "C#," any.NET-based language, such as VB.NET, Fortran, Delphi Prism, IronPython, and F#, can be utilized. The name Cosmos comes from the fact that both Cosmos and the kernel routines are primarily written in C#. NOSMOS (.NET Open Source Managed Operating System) also has a ridiculous name.
